Probably no other book was and is misunderstood and misused as much as the Bible. Some even misuse it as a weapon against itself and call it pernicious.

Yet this book is first and foremost a tool, albeit an incredibly powerful one.
Just as a knife is a tool that can be used to cut bread and prepare food, but also to hurt and to kill – so too can Scriptures be used to heal, to instruct, to encourage, to clarify, and to serve correction, or to be twisted and perverted in order to confuse, to condemn, and to oppress.

In Matthew 4:1-11 we can see that even the devil knows the Scriptures inside out and uses it (or tries to use it) for harmful, manipulative purposes.

So how a tool is used is solely the responsibility of the individual.

If each verse is seen in the context of the book that contains it, as well as the whole of Scriptures, which stands on a simple principle, which is ultimately love, grace and forgiveness – a source of infinite wisdom unfolds, which can be applied to all situations in life. Wisdom, even in the most difficult situations that bring our own human capacity to its limits. It is an encouragement to do like the numerous heroes of the Bible -such as Joseph, David, Esther, Daniel… and last but not least Jesus- and to master seemingly unsolvable challenges and the often inscrutable schemes of the enemy. Furthermore, to find comfort and encouragement and to ultimately get to know the true nature of God.
